WELCOME TO OUR SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
Isn’t it wonderful that the days are getting longer? It’s been such a pleasure to be outdoors more. And not only that! Olivia, our Director of Early Learning, with her husband Matt welcomed their first baby (a little girl) Mila Victoria Le into the world on August 15th 2019. Making Grahame and Danette first time grandparents as well! Irrespective however, work doesn’t stop. In September Grahame and Danette will travelling quite a bit (as per usual) to Wagga, Melbourne, and Sydney, which are just some of the places they will be visiting this month!
Also a special shout out to the winner of last month’s GIVEAWAY!
The winners Esther and Rhys participated on LinkedIn and both of them won a copy of Oprah Winfrey’s new book ‘The Path Made Clear’.
This month our theme is how to boost employee engagement. According to the latest Gallup poll only 14% of Australian employees are fully engaged. Imagine what workplaces would be like if that figure doubled or tripled. Please join us on Thursday, 12 September at 10am on our free webinar to get some great tips on how you can increase employee engagement.
Until next month have a magical one.

Book Of The Month : The Languages of Leadership by Wendy Born
Review by Danette Fenton-Menzies
As leaders the words we use matter. Sometimes those words can empower us and those around us and at other times it can have the complete opposite effect.
This book has three parts: Speak the truth, Act out the leadership languages and Practice the behaviour. This book is full of practical advice on the words to use, the actions to take and the behaviours to use.
Using relevant case studies and research the author shows how to apply the different leadership languages to improve the outcomes you will get as a leader With this month’s theme covering employee engagement, we as leaders can have a huge impact on this area if we get our language right. We highly recommend this book to all future and current leaders.
